This is a new badge program for the Girl Scout Council of the Congaree Area, which serves over 4500 girls in Richland, Lexington, Saluda, Sumter, Newberry, Kershaw, Lancaster and Fairfield counties, as well as the Town of Great Falls. In order to receive a Red Dress patch, Girl Scouts must participate in health-related activities involving education and community service.
This new badge program will support the mission of Providence Heart Institute and the Red Dress Campaign by educating members of the community about this important health issue and teaching young women that it's never too early to start caring about heart health!
